2nd Test: South Africa v Australia at Durban, Mar 6-10, 2009

And we’re off. Australia won the toss and will bat first. I’ve moved my computer to the dining room and I can see the TV screen over the top of my monitor. When did I become this sport nerd? I blame Habibti.

I’m working on three projects at one, which is cool. The year started off pretty kak, but I think my new model will work well. I need three projects a month and we should be fine.

So, cricket and rugby and designing and coding and a photography project, what could be better?

26Things

26Things is something that I’ve always wanted to do but never got around to. Now that I’ve got my kiff digital camera I’ve decided to get my off tush and do it.

So keep watch here as I’ll post my 26Things here before the end of March 2009.

This may even be my ‘yawn’ entry.

yawn

The words for March 2009 are:

press silence macro mess strings juicy yawn
turn new creep sound hallway instrument bump
label old stand off always grand logo
wheels list admiration half graffiti on the horizon

I go to coda.co.za every few weeks just to see what Damien is up to and for some inspiration. Every once in a while he’ll do an insightful post about the local digital industry, and I also love what he’s done with WordPress.

So this morning I was clicking around while Thelma vacuums and I sit here schwitzing like a pudding in my jean pant, when I found his post “James Nachtwey’s one wish to change the world”. Before the 3 minutes 44 seconds where up I was crying all over my keyboard.

This got me digging around for more information of James Nachtwey. What a remarkable man and what a skilled photographer.

It got me thinking about how a company that produces this

can qualify for billions of dollars in aid while this

is happening?

Damien’s post is a lot more effective than mine, but I just had to make my point. Simplistic as it may be.

More on XDR-TB and James Nachtwey.

I have been a witness, and these pictures are
my testimony. The events I have recorded should
not be forgotten and must not be repeated.
